August 5, 2014 – Maybe Edward Snowden’s desire for a more open government is being fulfilled.
CNN claims that a new leaker is sharing some national security documents that the American people deserve to see. A few points, as reported by The Intercept:
– Almost half of the people on the U.S. government’s widely shared database of suspected terrorists are not connected to any known terrorist group.
– The Obama Administration has presided over an unprecedented, 10-fold expansion of the terrorist screening system.
– The number of people now on the no-fly list has expanded to 47,000.
When will our government realize the American people’s right to privacy is not the threat? What we need is more monitoring of the government, not the people.
