Sanctions Do Not Show Strength

August 6, 2014 – I’m not much of a fan of sanctions. In a recent article published in the Telegraph, Oxford University Professor Thomas Allman writes that not speaking to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and instead imposing sanctions, signals impotence. Sometimes strength is required not to do something, rather than strength being verified by doing something you shouldn’t be doing. Allman is a friend of freedom and serves as board member for the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity.
