May 24, 2016—Looking at America today, our founding fathers are rolling over in their collective graves seeing how far we have strayed from what they built. Granted there were flaws then as well, only the rich and white were in control. However, their ideas were great, and we have certainly turned their work into a pile of crap.
This country was originally built on the notion of a smaller, less intrusive government. They believed that everyone should have the opportunity to make something out of their lives without a meddling, free money government. Today our politicians are seizing control and eliminating all of the rights we fought for. Basically our too big government is stealing our money and our freedom with every new law they write.
If we look back in history, those same men who wrote the Constitution would be planning another revolution to free us from our over-sized, over-regulated government. The people and the masses are being led down the path of over taxation and lack of freedom. Politicians are replacing freedom with regulation to benefit themselves and not those they represent. Mr. Obama is as guilty as all of them as his desire to turn America the free into America the socialist.
Our country has flourished over the 200 plus years and has become not only the wealthiest and most powerful, but also the best country in the history of the world. Unfortunately, Washington is trying to dismantle America one brick at a time. Just watching the upcoming election should say enough about what’s wrong. Look at the candidates being offered for president. Not one of them is worthy. In fact, they are all garbage and have no idea at how to lead a nation.
Remember, our nation was founded on the premise that our governing body was best served with Congress in session as little as possible., making it better for the people they were serving. Now it is as if we are serving them, not what the founding fathers had in mind. Unfortunately, the path of destruction we are on is not only sad but scary as we let the inmates run the asylum.
The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and our interests.
