June 13, 2016—If WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange is right, the group has enough evidence to put Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in jail.
According to Assange, who was interviewed recently, many of Clinton’s emails, which were leaked to the organization, are still “pending publication.” In March, the whistleblowing website launched a searchable database with 30,322 of Clinton’s emails, but the organization could have up to 32,000 in its possession.
During the interview, Assange claimed that Clinton has been monitoring him closely, and that the current US Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, has the Democratic candidate’s back. Unless the FBI “pushes for concessions,” Clinton won’t be indicted.
During the interview, Assange also claimed that Clinton is a “liberal war hawk,” who pushed for intervention in Libya even as the Pentagon warned that the postwar outcome would be disastrous.
Recently, Assange also made the news for claiming that Silicon Valley giant Google has been directly engaged with Clinton’s campaign.
During an international media forum, the WikiLeaks co-founder argued that “Google is heavily integrated with Washington power, at personal level and at business level. … Google which has increasing control over the distribution channels … is intensely allying itself US exceptionalism.”
He also added:
“What we have with Clinton is someone who is a hawk but who has the tools of legal interventionism, a rhetorical cover to start the wars, and someone who seemingly wants to start them… From WikiLeaks’ perspective Hillary Clinton is a problem in terms of war and peace.”
