June 16, 2016—In under two minutes, Jacob Hornberger, president of the Future of Freedom Foundation, exposes what is really behind the interventionist mind’s reflexive response to the Orlando terrorist massacre.
Donald Trump has joined the ranks of the gun controllers. He now says that in the response to the Orlando massacre, he favors a ban on the sale of weapons to people on the federal government’s terrorist watch list.
Here’s what Trump and Obama and Clinton and other interventionists are hoping to accomplish. They want to keep the intervention in the Middle East, the US intervention, the occupation, and Afghanistan, and at the same time, protect the American people from the terrorist blowback that comes about because of what the death machine is doing in that part of the world.
It’s never going to happen.
There’s always going to be people who are going to want to retaliate for the death and destruction that the death machine is wreaking in that part of the world. That’s what the Orlando shooter was motivated by, by the killings that the death machine was inflicting on people in Afghanistan.
Do you think that they really protect every single nightclub, every single library, bar, retail store, mall? Impossible. And they can’t arrest people just because they suspect that they’re about to commit a terrorist act. Our legal system in this country is based on, you have to wait for a person to commit a crime before you can arrest them. It’s not like totalitarian countries or like Guantanamo. Here, you have to wait.
And so there’s no way they can stop this ongoing threat of blowback from their interventions. That means there’s really only one solution, and this is where Americans have to stay focused, not on taking away people’s rights and liberties here at home to protect the interventionism.
It’s end the interventionism, bring all the troops home, stop the death machine from killing even one more person. Once we do that, the threat of anti-American terrorism disappears, and then we’re on the road to establishing a free, prosperous, and harmonious society.
