July 13, 2016—Senator Rand Paul, the libertarian-leaning conservative from Kentucky, is not backing down from his fight to hold presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accountable for her mistakes.
In Paul’s official website, the Kentucky senator urges visitors to help him ensure there isn’t a different set of rules for Hillary, granting her privileges none of us have. With this message, he hopes to get visitors to sign a petition demanding the Department of Justice to act.
“If you still believe that no American–even a Clinton–should be exempt from our justice system, sign the petition demanding that Hillary Clinton be held accountable for all her violations.”
In the video below, Paul says that “if the FBI’s decision to not prosecute Hillary Clinton is accepted, we will have become a nation of two sets of laws: one for the Clintons, and one for everyone else.”
Senator Paul has been pushing on this ever since FBI Director James Comey recommended no charges for Clinton over her email scandal. But this is not the first time Paul goes after Clinton as a sitting senator.
Back in 2013, Paul grilled Clinton during a Benghazi hearing, claiming that “Had I been president at the time, and I found that you did not read the cables from Benghazi, you did not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens, I would have relieved you of your post.”
